Caraway Finland Oy

Caraway Finland is a leading sorting and cleaning plant for caraway seeds and it is based near Vaasa in Närpes in Finland. All the seeds are grown by contract farmers.

Närpes is situated close to the Arctic Circle where the long summer days and midnight sun benefit caraway, giving it the highest possible level of aromatic oils in seeds. The amount of essential oil usually varies from 3% to 4% by weight. In some years the oil contents may even reach over 5% by weight.
